La Aurora was founded on October 3, 1903, by Eduardo León Jimenes, a visionary with deep roots in tobacco farming. Born into a family of tobacco growers, he honoured his heritage while ambitiously seeking to elevate the craft. His vision was to create a cigar brand that would transcend local tradition and achieve global recognition.

La Aurora is the top cigar manufacturer in the Dominican Republic. Its premium brands are sold in over 90 countries. The portfolio includes La Aurora, León Jimenes, Príncipes, and Family Reserve, all renowned for their quality and craftsmanship.

Príncipes Corona entered the Dominican local market in the 1950s as the first Dominican machine-made cigar. Measuring 5 x 38 and containing 7 grams of high-quality tobacco, it uses cuttings from the premium cigar factory. The cigar features an HTL binder and a natural Indonesian wrapper. Príncipes Corona offers seven flavours: Blond, Brown, Caribbean, and Red.
