The Perez-Carrillo family’s roots trace back to Cuba, where Ernesto Sr. was born in 1904. He started learning about tobacco and cigars as a child, watching his father roll and sell penny cigars on the streets of Havana. After years of working as a tobacco buyer, Ernesto Sr. established the family’s cigar legacy in 1948 when he acquired El Credito, a small cigar factory in Havana. The Perez-Carrillo family quickly gained respect in Cuba, and Ernesto Sr. went on to serve in the Senate in 1954 and 1958.

Since its inception, the Perez-Carrillo family has introduced several new blends, starting with the E.P. Carrillo 2009 Inaugural. Each blend offers a unique combination of complexity and strength, yet all remain true to the family’s commitment to consistency, tradition, and a passion for perfection. Today, E.P. Carrillo offers a diverse portfolio of blends and sizes, catering to even the most discerning cigar enthusiasts.
