CLE Cigars
Christian Eiroa, the youngest of three siblings, was born in 1972 in Danlí, Honduras. Just days after his birth, his family brought him to their Jamastran farm. He grew up in a converted schoolhouse, a home that still stands today. By the age of 8, Christian was already helping with tobacco work, immersing himself in a life destined to revolve around the craft.
In 1995, Christian returned to Honduras to deepen his understanding of tobacco and cigars. The Eiroa family farm in the Jamastran Valley is renowned for its advanced technology and adherence to strict hygiene and environmental standards set by Bayer. Julio and Christian Eiroa continue to work together, personally overseeing the cultivation of premium Grade A tobacco. The farm’s leaves undergo a meticulous process—sorted for colour and consistency, slow-cured for 16 months, and rested for 36 months—to ensure perfection.
The C.L.E. Cigar Factory, located in Danlí, holds historical significance. Once a theatre named Cine Aladino, owned by Christian’s grandfather Antonio Kafati, it became the birthplace of Eiroa cigars. This legacy-rich factory now stands as a testament to the family’s dedication to crafting world-class cigars.
Eiroa Cigars
Eiroa The First 20 Years Maduro offers a box-pressed Honduran cigar crafted entirely with a Honduran wrapper, binder, and filler. From the first light to the final draw, this cigar delivers an engaging and satisfying experience. Medium to full-bodied, it features a rich blend of flavours, including dark chocolate, espresso, baking spices, nuts, earth, and leather, all balanced in perfect harmony.
Every cigar honours the Eiroa family’s 100-year legacy in the cigar world. Encased in distinctive lift-top boxes wrapped in a leather ribbon, the presentation pays tribute to Christian Eiroa’s grandfather, who kept his cigar collection in a trunk at the foot of his bed.
