The journey started modestly, with two frat brothers from New York running a tiny 16-square-foot kiosk in the World Trade Center.

In 1998, Jonathan Drew took a bold step and moved to Estelí, Nicaragua, aiming to revolutionize the cigar industry. With a handful of rollers, limited funds, and big ambitions, the legend of “That Wild Gringo” came to life. Trading a New York apartment for a mattress above a rickety factory and learning Spanish on the fly. His path was anything but conventional.

Drew Estate stands out for pushing the boundaries of cigar blending. With bold flavours and innovative techniques, they craft cigars that excite the senses. From the infused sweetness of ACID to the rich complexity of Liga Privada, Drew Estate delivers unique profiles that appeal to traditionalists and modern smokers alike. Undercrown Shade Coronet
Drew Estate Undercrown Shade Coronet stands as the first release from Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera outside the Herrera Estelí brand family. This blend highlights Herrera’s dedication to blending and brand development. He collaborated closely with the Undercrown roller team, who crafted the original Undercrown line, to create this new Connecticut blend.

The result is a medium-bodied cigar that is lush, ultra-smooth, and packed with the unique flavours only a shade-grown wrapper can provide. With great pride, we present “Undercrown Shade,” a continuation of the rich story from our factory floor.
